What We Stand For

🏫

Academic Excellence

Buckeye students deserve schools that rank among the best in the region. We are committed to protecting high academic standards, supporting exceptional teachers, and ensuring every student is prepared for future success.

🏛️

Experienced Leadership

Navigating declining enrollment, state funding pressures, and increasing competition for teachers requires proven governance — not on-the-job learning. Jon's experience as two-time Board President and Jennifer's leadership in business and community organizations make them ready from day one.

🤝

Rooted in Community Values

Great schools are built through genuine partnership — between the board, parents, teachers, students, and the broader community. We believe in transparent communication, meaningful parent involvement, and decisions that reflect the values of the families we serve.

📊

Responsible Financial Stewardship

Every dollar should reach the classroom. We are committed to sound fiscal oversight, careful budget management, and ensuring that state funding restrictions and declining enrollment do not compromise the quality of education Buckeye families expect.

Meet Jon & Jennifer

Jon Yoffie, Buckeye Union School District Trustee
Re-Elect

Jon Yoffie

Incumbent Trustee & Two-Time Board President

Jonathan D. Yoffie has dedicated more than two decades to Buckeye schools. As a Trustee and two-time Board President, he has navigated the most difficult decisions facing public education — always keeping student success at the center of every discussion.

In 2008, Jon and his wife helped establish the Buckeye Education Foundation, which continues to provide resources beyond what state funding alone can support. His leadership was recognized in 2023 when he received the El Dorado County School Boards Association's Leader in Boardmanship Award.

Jon's commitment is simple: every student should have the opportunity to succeed, taxpayer dollars should be managed responsibly, and important decisions should only be made after listening carefully to all perspectives.

Jennifer Yoder, Candidate for Buckeye Union School District Board of Trustees
Elect

Jennifer Yoder

Community Leader & Business Professional

Jennifer Yoder has lived the Buckeye experience firsthand. She raised four children who attended Blue Oak, Camerado Springs, Silva Valley, and Rolling Hills — her two youngest graduating from Oak Ridge High School with 4.0+ GPAs and earning admission to prestigious universities, thanks in large part to the academic foundation Buckeye schools provided.

As a community volunteer leader and business professional, Jennifer brings experience in budget oversight, collaborative decision-making, and transparent accountability. She understands that a Trustee's role is not to manage schools day-to-day, but to provide thoughtful oversight and keep the district focused on what matters most: students.

Jennifer is committed to strengthening communication between the district and Buckeye families, preserving what makes these schools exceptional, and preparing them for the challenges ahead.
